If you’re a parent who’d like to know more about what your child would do as a Scout, then you’re in the right place!

Chorley Scouts offers fun, challenge and adventure for young people aged 6 – 25, right across the area from Croston in the west to Withnell in the east. You’ll probably find a Scout group or Explorer Scout unit within a couple of miles of your house.

Scouting is split into six youth sections, these are:

  • Squirrel Scouts (aged 4-5)
  • Beaver Scouts (aged 6-8)
  • Cub Scouts (aged 8-10)
  • Scouts (aged 10-14)

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
