Scouts is where young people make new friends, have amazing adventures, and learn new skills

If you’re interested in your child joining Scouts in Chorley District, or you’re an adult thinking of volunteering with us, make an enquiry using one of the forms below and someone will be in touch soon.

The activities and opportunities vary but what is the same is that each will empower you to make friends, learn skills and try new things and have an everyday adventure!

Scouting is split into six youth sections. These are:

Squirrel Scouts (4 to 5 years)
Beaver Scouts (6 to 8 years)
Cub Scouts (8 to 10½ years)
Scouts (10½ to 14 years)
Explorer Scouts (14 to 18 years)
Scout Network (18 to 25 years)

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
